Lettuce Green Gem – Cornucopia Seeds

Lactuca sativa

Compact 7-8 inch heads of juicy sweet, rich green leaves. Green Gem grows quickly from seed, looks great in containers or small gardens, and is perfect for fast, crunchy fresh salads. Ready in 38-42 days.

Container Growing:Use pots minimum 15 inch diameter and 12 inches deep. Lettuce thrives in cool weather; plant in spring, and again in later summer for fall crop. In hot weather, provide pots with some afternoon shade. When seedlings are several inches tall, thin to 6 inches apart, giving heads room to grow. Keep evenly moist and mulch well. Cut when heads are well filled out.
