The colour is a deep, glossy green, and the leaves are held on short, sturdy petioles close to the base, giving the plant a low, dense form. It stays small and manageable, making it well suited to a terrarium, desk, or shelf. The pronounced texture gives each leaf a three-dimensional, sculptural quality that rewards close inspection.
