Gardner’s Notes: Direct sow outdoors in spring into fertile, well-drained soil. Sow seeds 1 inch apart and cover lightly. Keep soil moist during germination and growth. Thin seedlings to 12 inches apart when large enough to handle. Sow every 10-14 days through later spring for a continuous supply. Begin harvesting leaves when plants are 12 inches tall.
