Easy to grow, adaptable to most soils, trouble free and tolerant of heat and drought. Blooms well in full sun or light shade. Start seed 8 to 10 weeks early indoors. Germination requires 14 to 21 days at 20 C (70 F). Grow on under lights at a cooler temperature of 15 C (60 F) before hardening off and transplanting outside to a sunny spot. Seed can also be directly sown in the garden in May and again in mid-August to early September for flowering in the following year.
