Dracaena marginata, or the Madagascar Dragon Tree, is a popular, low-maintenance houseplant best known for its slender, upright canes topped with clusters of thin, sword-like green foliage. The Kiwi variety has yellow striping in the middle of its foliage. While these plants closely resemble a palm, they are highly adaptable and drought-tolerant. Remarkably responsive to pruning, marginata can be shaped and grown into a variety of unique, architectural forms.
Cutback to stop vertical growth, this plant will maintain a consistent height while producing lush new shoots. The staggered growth form uses stalks of varying heights to create a full, layered look.
