Microsorum musifolium Crocodyllus – Crocodile Fern

Crikey mate! Ain’t she a beauty! This tropical stunner is Microsorum musifolium Crocodyllus, aka the crocodile fern, sporting long, strap-like leaves with a suave crocodile skin pattern on top.

This fern hails from the warm, moist, tropical rainforests of Australia, where it grows as an epiphyte on trees. But don’t worry, you don’t need to book a one-way ticket to the Land Down Under to enjoy its company, it’s pretty low maintenance. Just find a cosy spot for your potted fern away from direct sunlight and pesky drafts that can scorch those beautiful fronds.
