Monstera obliqua ‘Peru Form’

Monstera obliqua‘Peru Form’ is among the rarest and most sought-after plants in the aroid world. Its paper-thin leaves develop extreme fenestrations at maturity, often becoming more hole than leaf, a feature that makes it instantly recognisable and unlike any otherMonstera. It is a true collector’s species, prized for its delicacy, rarity, and the patience it demands.

Origins
Native to the tropical rainforests of Peru,Monstera obliquagrows as a hemiepiphyte in humid, shaded understorey environments, climbing slowly through the lower canopy. Its extreme fenestrations are believed to be an adaptation to allow wind to pass through the leaves without causing damage to the tissue, which is unusually thin and fragile compared to other Monstera species.
