Quercus frainetto SEEDS

Quercus frainetto seeds grow into the Hungarian oak or Italian oak a large, imposing deciduous tree native to the temperate biome of southern and central Italy, the Balkan Peninsula (Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, former Yugoslavia, Romania to NW Romania), the island of Lesvos and north-western Turkey. One of the most ornamentally distinctive European oaks, it develops the most deeply and regularly lobed leaves of any native European Quercus large, with 710 pairs of rounded, regular lobes creating an exceptionally bold, sculptural leaf form. It is a large, fast-growing oak, reaching 3035 m, with a broad, domed crown and deeply furrowed, dark grey bark. The timber is hard and durable. Family Fagaceae.
