An old heirloom variety grown from at least the late 1870s that produces eye-pleasing scarlet red roots with white tips about 10-15 cm long. Roots are crisp and mild with a surprisingly sweet flavour. French Breakfast is a long time favourite summer radish that has stood the test of time. Moist soil is essential for germination, cooler temperatures may lengthen germination time.
