Slicing Tomato Seeds – Halladay’s Mortgage Lifter

HEIRLOOM. Mortgage Lifter tomatoes are famous for their enormous and super-meaty fruits with few seeds – the perfect sandwich tomato. There are a number of strains of Mortgage Lifter, but this one stood out from a trial of 25 different varieties, producing the best crop of impressive, 1- to 2-pound pink beefsteak fruits. It has been grown since the 1930s by the Halladay family of eastern Kentucky. The fruits are unusually crack-resistant for this type of tomato, and have excellent rich flavor and exceptionally meaty texture.
