Also known as an azalea type, Madame Butterfly’s double petals create full, fluffy blooms for a Victorian look. A beautiful flower in a lovely shade of red. For outdoor or greenhouse production.

For a bushier plant that produces more flower-producing side branches, pinch young plants back by half their height when plants have formed 4-6 leaves or are approximately 8-10cm tall.

Pinching will delay the crop time by a few weeks. If pinching, space plants 15-30cm apart. Direct seeding is not recommended.

Type Of Seed:Hybrid, is the offspring of a cross between two or more parent lines, usually the same species. This is to improve the traits for growing. These seeds can not be saved, as they will not grow as vigorous and not stay true to the parent plant.

Height:When grown as a one-cut, stems can be as long as the full height of the plants. When grown for multiple cuts per plant, stems vary in length at 30-90cm.

Planting advice:Light is required for germination, but a fine layer of vermiculite covering the seeds can maintain moisture levels and prevent algae growth.

Bottom water or mist lightly to avoid covering the seed with displaced soil. Transplant tolarger containerswhen the first true leaves appear, approximately 3-4 weeks after sowing.

Germination should occur in 714 days at 2124C.

After emergence, maintain a soil temperature of 1824C.

After the seedlings have 35 true leaves, grow at 1014C at night and 16C during the day.
