Dracaena marginata, or the Madagascar Dragon Tree, is a popular, low-maintenance houseplant best known for its slender, upright canes topped with clusters of thin, sword-like green foliage. While it closely resembles a palm, it is actually a highly adaptable and drought-tolerant plant. It is also remarkably responsive to pruning, allowing it to be shaped and grown into a variety of unique, architectural forms.
This Marginata has not been cutback – meaning each of the trunks will grow tall and can be trained to grow in different directions. The staggered cane form version uses stalks of varying heights to create a full, layered look.
